Nice and cozy. - Shop Tools

The plastic adapter for these little BBs sucks. This part is a perfect match for the SHIMANO Deore XT M8000. There are several different versions, so do your homework before you buy.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Nothing

Must-have for Shimano bottom bracket

And another standard for bottom bracket size as Shimano simply can't use either standard size for their new bottom brackets and anyone can use the tools they already have.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Hard to say

Incredibly fast delivery

Hey, this is Park's tool and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Maybe a little overpriced, but aren't they all? But the delivery is wowza! Ordered Sunday noon and delivered within 24 hours with free shipping! I couldn't believe it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Useless functions

The perfect tool for the right need.

Park Tools offers excellent build quality and great tools throughout their lineup. You can get a little more use out of a wrench that isn't as specific and costs a few dollars less, but when this type of socket is needed, it's invaluable.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember

For the right bottom bracket torque

This is an ESSENTIAL tool to ensure proper tightening of the bottom bracket. Tighten the slide on both sides. Tighten the right crank sprockets. Tighten the pedals on the cranks. Tighten the left crank on the spindle and if you did everything to specification you shouldn't have any squeaks.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Excellent tool for new 41mm OD bottom brackets

Beautifully machined aluminum tool, typical top quality from Park Tools USA. This is for newer bottom brackets like Ultegra and Dura-Ace with 41mm OD and 16 splines. Unfortunately I didn't double check my BB and I need the 44mm OD version and will be ordering the BBT-69.2 from Park.

Professional tool for the professional

The tool does not scratch unlike other cheaper tools on Amazon. Of course you can get a cheaper version, but it may leave marks on your BB. It is important for me. If it marks, it's not seated properly and may rub off after a few uses. I take my BB off a few times to clean and oil it. This tool was never mentioned. Great tool!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not the best

If you need it, you don't have a spare

This is a bottom bracket tool. If you have a compatible bottom bracket (in my case Shimano 105 R7000 2018+) then you know you absolutely need this adapter to remove or install it and nothing else will do. If you don't, it becomes a handy (albeit more expensive) paperweight. As always, the workmanship is first class with Original Park Tools. Might be cheaper, but hey, he'll always be there, always working. You will need a 3/8 inch socket wrench, but if you buy one you probably already have one.

  • Very good price

Does the job, removes and installs BBR60 bottom bracket

CON It's expensive PRO It works Don't discredit Park Tools, the value for money is obvious. The tools are well made, durable and just what you need for specific bike tasks. If I needed this particular tool more than once every few years it would be 5 stars. Or if Shimano had provided an adapter that didn't self-destruct after a single use, I wouldn't need it. On a positive note, I now have a bushing that fits both the BBR60 and standard Hollowtech bottom bracket. I think I still have some…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
