Parker 68S Stainless Steel Handle Safety Razor - Double Edge, Open Comb Head Design with 5 Blades Review

So I figured this razor wouldn't cut for the first 3 weeks until I realized I was turning the floor upside down. This is the cleanest neck shave I've ever had. It's hard to cut yourself, but you can if you move too fast. I personally use Wilkinson sword blades, which I find to be just as sharp and thicker than feather blades.

I liked this razor more than 24C. The handle is heavy, with deep knurling, and generally feels better in the hand. The shave was a little aggressive, which is my experience with most open-comb razors, but it was still smooth. I would recommend it to anyone interested in an open comb razor. The handle really sets this razor apart from other Parker razors.

This Parker Double Edge safety razor deserves five stars in my opinion for several reasons: 1.) It's made of durable components with a beautiful finish; 2.) it's heavy, which means it's well balanced to allow for a close shave without having to apply pressure; 3.) Better than I expected. Heavy and durable three-piece construction. Very functional and traditional. Update: After using this razor for a few months with no problems, the strings on the head no longer hang from the handle.

Shaves well but the threading on the handle is not very good. The Mercur razors I have are much better made. Time will tell how long this razor will last. Fast forward to February 6, 2018. The handle probably won't tighten next time I change blades. The threads on the handle are almost all lost. My Mercures are older and the threads are fine. Would never have thought of another Parker product!
