Not much stronger than usual, not fixed.

Bought with a socket for my boat. As mentioned by others the inside was tight for connecting wires and the wires I used for my connections were a bit too big but I was able to move things around and used 2 zip ties to hold them in place. It doesn't really block.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No instructions

Good plug. Best in Lighters & Parts Category

Nice, simple piece with a fuse on top. Easy to disassemble and connect. Not really sure why people were complaining. At the same time, I'm not exactly sure why it's listed as a marine variety. Nothing special sets it apart from the other plugs - the body connection isn't waterproof, the rubber grommet lets water through if you run two separate wires from side to side.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Available in white only

Don't waste money.

The display here does not tell much about the product or its connector. It should be for very specific applications. The hole at the top will not accept cables 16 gauge and larger, and there are no instructions for connecting cables. I tried to figure it out for an hour, then gave up and bought a different brand of plug with cables attached. The worst part was when I tried to return it but found out that amazom doesn't allow returns of this product which surprised me a lot.

Pros
  • One year trial version
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

But it works fine. in Elektro

This 12V plug is a good device. The only problem with this is that it's difficult to connect without shorting the wires together. There's not much between positive and negative spacing, and the orientation of the cable connectors inside makes things tricky. If the positive connector was soldered on a flat side it would make installation easier. When I first plugged it in, although I was careful when plugging it in, I still backed away thinking the connectors were too close. They weren't.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Be careful with the 10 amp rating

I bought this to connect electronics rated at 8.5 amps.During testing at full transmit power the radio turned off. Thinking the fuse was blown I checked all of them including the one directly in the plug (10A rating). I smelled burning plastic so I opened the plug and the spring supporting the fuse melted into the plastic and lost its elasticity, the power went out because the middle was no longer connected through the spring. So according to the specs in my gear I had a max current of 8.5A…

Pros
  • As everyone has done so far
Cons
  • Low repairability

Advice on large cables

This is a good quality connector but is not suitable for large cables. The cork was purchased to replace a seawater pump used on wakesurf ballast bags. Pumps use a lot of electricity, and even with standard 120V lamp cords, the plug and cord tend to get a bit warm. This connector has an inner hole and a screw for clamping the wires. However, they are not suitable for the size wires that I need. Soldering was difficult at best due to space constraints. On the plus side, the lockout features work

Solid plug, I'll order more but this is a tricky goblin.

I intend to order more of these. So why not 5 stars? You have to connect it yourself. It's a little hard to figure out how to do that. A little guide would be nice. Also, the space inside is very limited. This is done for smaller wire sizes. Using 14 gauge wire, it didn't seal properly and was far from waterproof. To open it, I unscrewed the metal end with the fuse inside and put all the parts aside. Then there is an elastic band around the center section that needs to be removed. I used a very

Worked well but didn't stand the test of time

I've had it for about 4 years and it stopped working. Honestly, this is a marine environment where everything passes with time. It was quite difficult to mount the wires correctly, but I think the wire I had was a bit larger than what it was designed for. I used it this weekend and it got pretty hot on the front metal part. I disassembled it, checked everything and it stopped working at all. If it were marine grade I would have expected all the hardware to be stainless steel but mine wasn't and
