PARTSRUN Genuine Ignition 4158403S ZF IG A00080 Review

This ignition part has improved my automotive engine performance significantly. After I put it to the test, I noticed a better fuel economy and smoother starts compared to my old ignition. The design of the part is durable and sturdy. The only downside is that the installation was a bit tricky, but it was worth it for the improved performance.

Used to replace an old ignition coil on an 8hp Kohler engine. I had to modify the coil wire to fit - the original wire was shorter. Adjust the air gap on the new coil to 0.012 - the spark is good, there are no dropouts.

Direct replacement. I set the air gap to 3 sheets of plain paper about 0.010 inch thick. Start the engine with no problems. The cable to the spark plug is short, hence 4 stars. You will most likely need to remove the wire clamp to disconnect the wire from the spark plug to minimize stress on the connector. Otherwise it works and starts the engine right away.
