Forces everything to 1080p

Perform AV for a security conference. We use this to take the input – the speakers' variable laptop – and translate it to 1080p for the rest of the AV highway – the speaker's screen, the projectors and the recording device.

Now you can easily turn off the TV with your computer

Every time I turned off the TV the computer would clutter up the desktop, applications would crash or the sound would stop. I've tried two other much more expensive EDID emulators before and neither of them worked. This one works!

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Only available in white

Does exactly what I wanted.

I use the Mac Mini to connect to my TV, I used to have the HDMI but this one is much better. Every time I turn on the system and change the inputs everything comes up immediately. This one is better than dr hdmi because it doesn't require power.

Pros
  • Provides pleasant sensations
Cons
  • I have doubts

Emulates 60Hz instead of 59.94Hz

I had to use for a headless device. One worked fine, but the second was more specific. The description says it emulates a 59.94Hz device, but unfortunately it emulates 60Hz. Close, but if you have an extremely picky output device (Blackmagic ATEM) it won't work. So, great device, but it runs at 60Hz, not 59.94Hz.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • No insurance

It works for me

It works for me, there were no serious problems, I've been using it for more than a year. I am using this with an HDMI dip switch and am having an issue with the monitor sometimes showing no signal when switching inputs. I have to fix it by turning the monitor off for a few seconds and then back on. However, I don't know if it's the problem, the switch, the cables or the monitor and haven't tried to figure it out yet. I don't see any complaints about this with this product so it's probably…

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • boring packaging

Works well with some adapters, worse with others

When using this with a USB-C to HDMI adapter, my mouse freezes every few seconds. The mouse movement looks like it twitches when I just move it across the screen. I suspect this isn't giving the USB-C to HDMI adapter a good, stable signal. Everything works fine with another USB-C to HDMI adapter. But both USB-C to HDMI adapters work without this device. IDK what the problem is, but it's somewhere in the interaction between this device and some USB-C to HDMI adapters.

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Black screen only.

Received this in hopes of fixing issues with my 4K TV and 1080P surround sound system where devices are trying to default to 4K which is driving things crazy. My first test with a computer looked promising, when I wanted to choose a monitor resolution I was only offered options up to 1080p, which seemed perfect. Unfortunately, no matter what I did, neither my computer, nor my gaming system, nor my set top boxes would pass a signal through the TV - I just get a blank black picture on my TV. I…
