Almost Perfect Powerline Network Adapters

These things work like a charm, one issue is one of the two was defective and I spent a good 30-40 minutes tearing my hair out, i did, even though it was in fact a defective product. Without the wind efficient pair I would have given it five stars.

Pros
  • 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC Jack/Male PoE Injector and Splitter Kit
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

tested at 100 feet, power drop too high. Do not use 100ft Cat cable.

The product works great with shorter PoE cables, but it just can't carry as much power over 100 feet. .update: you can definitely use it, just make sure you use a good power source. I needed 12 volts at 2 amps for 8 cameras; about 24 watts each. I bought a 360 watt 12 volt 30 amp power supply and only connected 2.1 x 5.5 wires to it. These adapters work well, even with the extra juice (required because 100ft is too big)

Pros
  • Contents: 5 pairs of POE splitters. (5 pcs with DC male and 5 pcs with DC female. 10 total)
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Super comfortable! in network adapters

I am replacing my IP based security cameras. I already had BNC/Power Baluns so I wanted to reuse my CAT6 cables and this helped! This is how cameras can be easily installed without POE! The only downside (and not a fault at all with this product) is that the RJ45 ends are already wired, so you can't put the waterproof sleeves that come with the outdoor cameras over the cable (see photo where the balun Stern and waterproof sleeves are over the balun) but the ethernet port on the camera is left…

Pros
  • Converting non-PoE devices to PoE enabled devices
Cons
  • Some small things

Good connectors but very thin wire is used.

We tried to use them for passive POE on a FRC competition robot, for this purpose we cut off a cylindrical connector for connecting bare wires, and the wire size is very small, exactly no more than 22 AWG, and it's not . or copper. Knowing this, I cannot recommend them for powering the device.

Pros
  • Use with IP security camera, wireless access point and other devices
Cons
  • The list will be long.
