A Very Happy Fan of HP - Special Tools & Gadgets

So I bought this to make Chocolate Frogs for a Harry Potter holiday and I loved it! We made dozens of frogs and the shape held up perfectly for the few days it took to make them all. I will definitely be buying more to increase production for next year's holiday! VERY SATISFIED

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • I'm Worried

Front legs impossible

This little frog is adorable, reminiscent of Harry Potter chocolate frogs BUT (I have a lot of experience with silicone molds) I have to pour over the front legs to keep them in shape. The shape is made to "snag" on the tiny front legs, and these break off 8 times out of 10. BE CAREFUL when deleting.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • embarrassing

Great for jelly but harder for chocolate

We used this mold to make Jelly Jongle Frogs and Chocolate Frogs. The jelly turned out great. The frogs have great detail. When we made chocolate frogs, we had trouble removing them with our fingers intact. They kept breaking out. The details were still there. I will be using this again for jelly and chocolate. I recommend it!

I'm not the best at it, but I hope I can get better!

I love these chocolate frogs for my Harry Potter birthday party. Easy to use and very small, if you are making small chocolate frog boxes they are perfect! I'm not the best at it so I always break their legs getting the frogs out and I never manage to freeze them perfectly but I guess that's human error and not a litter box.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say

Used for Harry Potter party, definitely recommend!

Worked well, used to make chocolate frogs for the Harry Potter party in our library. Kind of a learning curve and I ended up with a couple of amputated frogs but at the end of my 100 (yes we filled 100 bags of candy!) popped a marshmallow half in the middle of each to save the chocolate. Everyone loved her!

It's not easy to get out of shape without breaking a leg

It's almost impossible to get the frogs out of shape without breaking one of the legs or feet. Out of every batch we made, we've had one (sometimes zero) that didn't break. We tried many different methods to carefully remove them without damaging them. No matter how hard we tried to remove them, we almost always lost a foot or leg. We ended up buying a different shape (hard plastic) that worked much better.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No achievement

Looks great, difficult to demould

They go perfectly with my chocolate frogs. You have a really nice shape. I sprayed gold edible glitter on the frogs and they were a huge hit. The problem was the difficulty in getting the frogs out of shape. Several frogs had broken legs. I managed to remove the mold and some came out without tearing. I had to remelt the broken frogs and do a second time because they really broke out of shape. I had to go to the hobby lobby and buy edible glue to fix some of the legs because I didn't have time…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Awesome frog shape from Harry Potter!

I made chocolate frogs out of these for my daughter's Harry Potter birthday party. They turned out great and everyone loved them. It took a little practice to get the frogs out of shape without breaking their legs. With a little practice it is possible, but a few three-legged frogs didn't bother the children. I also used them to make frog shaped ice cubes for the party. I add some food coloring to the water for the different colors of the house. The kids loved being able to choose different…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities
