Type of review

I buy a few things from Revain and leave quite extensive reviews. From now on, here is the new agenda…. If it performs as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is of good quality, and is delivered in a timely manner, it will receive a "star rating" in line with my expectations. If it does not meet these criteria, then I go into the shortcomings of the products very specifically and vividly and you, as a consumer, will not face the problem of buying a product without basic…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

RAM roulette is good for computer components

I bought several sets of PC2-6400 RAM from A-Tech and got something new each time. Be it DIMMs with chips on both sides, DIMMs with chips on one side, full-height or half-height DIMMs. Nothing I ordered matched the item pictured (full size DIMMs). Do you think if I order two sets of 2GB x 2 (4 DIMMs total) both sets are identical? nope Just a bunch of random DIMMs stitched together. I will not clutter a customer's computer with inappropriate flash drives. I don't look good as a technician…

  • Good thing

Mismatched memory kit

I ordered two of these kits to have the right kit but that's not what I got. Despite the fact that all the numbers on everything were the same, the memory wasn't. The modules in one set were 16 chip modules and the other set were 8 chip modules. The BIOS should have recognized both modules as 8-chip, even though there were 16 chips in one set. I installed them and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit works a bit. strange. It would be better if you send me 4 modules of 16 chips because now I don't know

Pros
  • Best-in-niche
Cons
  • Trade-in

Excellent memory was a life saver, my Z170 BIOS got stuck on Specter update and I haven't even tested it on my 775 socket boards yet. I had to recover my login details for an RMA and all this fun stuff assembled an old 780i system and the board had 2x1GB from some other brands with different timings, put them in, uploaded and shipped straight away. My RMA was very late so staying online helped me. I've just ordered (2) more packs of 2 x 2GB DDr2 to make the most of the old build and another…
