Works great, good speed, also used with HP G2 Reverb VR.

Bought to connect HP Reverb G2 headset via USB-C port and after 4 months of use it works perfectly. The other ports were also fast enough for data transfers and great for charging devices. This card was easy to install, worked out of the box with Win10 and required no configuration. Completely plug and play. The card connects directly to the power supply to improve performance and reduce the load on the motherboard. But as others have said you need an open SATA connector coming from the PSU or…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Almost never

Needs to add some USB-C connectivity to the Alienware R9 Tower. I embarrassingly spent too much time trying to figure out which one would be compatible with my Windows 10 box and didn't have to go to some nondescript website to install an unnecessary driver to make it work. Well, I chose this one, if only because it was less intimidating than other "imported" options I found, and it was reasonably priced. Arrived, connected, the computer received several messages about installing Windows 10…

Linux Support: Internals

The description says there is no Linux support, but my Debian 10 machine automatically detected it. No drivers, no configuration, nothing. I just turned it on and saw a bunch of dmesg entries related to USB 3.1 root hub initialization. I connected an external hard drive to one of the ports on the card, got the device /dev/sd* and mounted it successfully. It's been several weeks of heavy use 24/7 to recover data from damaged drives and I can't report any issues.

The required driver is no longer available in MS

. I received this card today and was delighted to install it on my HP Pavilion Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit desktop PC. After a very bad experience with another vendor's card, I expected great results as this card comes with a driver CD. Installation went smoothly, no problems; until the driver is installed. The last page of the manual states that "KB2581464" is required, which is only available from Microsoft due to their crazy licensing scheme. Well folks, since Redmond stopped supporting…

Fixed Oculus Rift S power failure issue

I bought this card because my Oculus Rift S was turning off and a common cause was insufficient power. This solved that problem - no more disconnects. Installing on my HP Omen 880 running Windows 10 Pro was easy. Simply plug into a free PCIe slot and plug in the power cable. It worked as soon as I turned on the power. I didn't have to install any drivers. The Y-cables that came with the card were too short to reach any of my exposed power connectors, so I had to order an extension cord. I don't

Works with Rift, no drivers required for Win10. Excellent quality

Looked lazy on the side but definitely worth buying! The build quality was a pleasant surprise. The USB-C port is a very nice touch, now I can use the same phone charger with my computer and charger! Also includes Samsung DeX but I don't use it so I don't really care. It comes with an additional SATA power connector, so you can power your ports not only from your PCI-E slot. I need extra ports for my Rift VR headset and it works great with it! I have 3 sensors for 360/room scaling plus the port

Couldn't be happier.

Just perfect for my needs. If only I had more PCI slots for one more. - Eliminated ground loop noise on my tube amp connected to my computer via USB. Not sure why that is, I'm hooked up to a clean power source like a Furman power conditioner, I have RCA cords to eliminate hum and an AudioQuest Jitterbug and a Dragontail, for some reason hooking it up makes it work to this USB it absolutely silent. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm so tired of ground loop noise and trying to figure it out that I…

Good card. best among usb port cards

I had to source a new source for usb ports to build my computer as new motherboards almost seem to suggest you will be adding a card rather than lots of usb Provide ports (mine was 4).1. What's in the box? You get a driver CD (assuming it's for something other than a Windows 10 computer), instructions, a SATA power cable connector, and some mounting screws. 2. Install?: Unfortunately the installation didn't work for my computer. I have an ASUS Prime Z390A motherboard and a Corsair case. Now it…

Great for what I need

Works fine, I installed the drivers on Windows 7 Pro x64 and XP Pro x64. Both work well and it's easy to install us on the hard drive using "setup.exe". I'm not using this card for a VR headset, so I can't comment on performance. A Fresco Logic controller that uses a different driver than the Type A (Renesas) ports. The two adapter cables (one Molex to 2x SATA, one SATA to 2x SATA) were a great addition. However, it does what I needed. So I'm happy. Note: The card box has labels for two…
