The lining is not well thought out.

The padding is made rough - one piece, which reduces the adaptation to the non-smooth anatomy. Other brands have more flexible pad designs. Also, I've developed a rash that comes and goes whenever I wear this. Never had skin allergies. I wonder what ingredients if pad.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Size way too small

My old Pearl Izumi was medium so I ordered the same size which was a mistake. The tag on the shorts says 'Medium', Revane says I ordered a size small (which I didn't). My body didn't stretch, but the new shorts felt very small. Sent them back for size XL which is barely enough. Well built and I like the design. After using padding in my old shorts for 4 years I can really feel the difference with these new ones.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out of style

These are the best cycling shorts I have.

I like them better than Nike and other quality brands (really famous). I washed them to wear the next day instead of using other shorts. I liked them so much that I bought 2 more pairs. Nice padding, but not outstanding. Certainly not too thin. I still weigh about 25 pounds too fluffy and only ride about a dozen miles at a time. However, it takes me over an hour to cover this distance, so I can attest that the padding will hold up to prolonged use.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Only available in white

HOW TO WEAR A DIAPER

Worst pair of nappies I've ever bought. Compared to all the other quests I've had, the buckskin is sooooo wide, you vacillate between them. I can imagine what it's like to wear adult diapers! In fact, it's so wide that it folds up on its own when you walk. How it got through the PI designers I don't know. I buy the PRO series for driving and these quest entries are for spin. This version of "Splice" has a unique patch of color that makes them stand out, too bad but they're back!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • It's ok

Great shorts at a great price! I also bought a pair for my wife and she loves them too. (only "problem", now we tend to match up on our trips - we try to dress differently) Don't worry about the padding on trips under 2 hours and I expect these shorts will work well for many will last for years! Fits as advertised: I'm about 5ft 9in, 140lbs, 29in waist, and the average size fits well (it's actually quite snug but stretchy). I gave these shorts to my wife (125lbs) for my small size, she loves…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Fits like a glove on clothing

After years of cycling and looking at many brands of cycling shorts I have found one that I really like. I am 62 years old, 5'8" and 194 with 19% BF. I am between lg and xl. I ordered the large and they are tight. I mention this because I am chunky and these shorts are absolutely perfect for are me. I dig into the seat and it makes the whole journey easier. I had no idea the right shorts were so important. I don't know if they fit you but for me they did. on the Size listed. Decide if you like…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Pearl Izumi isn't the same as before.

Got 2 pairs of these for $38 instead of the $50 they usually charge - I ride a trainer bike indoors in my garage - so didn't think I'd need $100 shorts after I have worn my previous pearls. ;The seat pads in both sets are completely contourless - it's like wearing an adult diaper; I have an M based on my waist size and they are a bit tight on my hips (6ft 190lbs) but given the condition of the "pre-curved and curved" padding (I call it BS) - I can't imagine how it is would looks like L…
