What I liked most was that this type of ring was not stocked in any major stores. I wouldn't have been able to fit a fan if I hadn't bought this type as the wobble was severe. Because of the thick plaster inserting the ceiling box 1/2 inch from the ceiling surface I needed this to reinforce the base.

. The mounting screw locations on the original fan did not match the mounting brackets on the new fan. I wasn't sure what to do. I found this universal mount and decided to give it a try. It worked like a charm. It took me 2 short bolts and 2 nuts to attach it but it worked great. I just bought another one for my next ceiling fan installation. I highly recommend it

When installing two track lights it turned out that the ceiling boxes did not fit the brackets supplied so we looked for alternatives. These brackets offered many configurations for mounting ceiling lights. Steel is strong and tough. I had to enlarge the wiring hole and the mount did not lose structural strength and rigidity. A good option for mounting ceiling lights, although I can't tell if they will hold heavier fixtures like a chandelier or ceiling fan.

Ideal for adapting my small ceiling box to a 4 inch ceiling fan mount. The kit includes 2 adapters, 4 screws and even some twisted pair cable connectors. I simply installed an adapter under my drywall ceiling and bolted it to the existing can. After assembly, the plate sits tight and tight. I hung a 17 pound, 52 inch diameter ceiling fan from it with no problem. There is very little wobble unless you cross the 4" mount screws (perpendicular to the 3" screws) for best results.

I used this to hang a Hunter ceiling fan from a sloping ceiling. Without something like this, the task would not have been possible. The original packaging was very flat and narrower than the fan mount. The fan kit came with long screws to screw directly into truss or other wood, but since a certain side of the fan mount had to be on the "up" side of the slope, the long screws had nowhere to go.
