👜 Pelican 1609: Lid Organizer for 1600 Case with Ballistic Nylon Review

This product is exactly as advertised. I used a pelican case for field practice and it makes organizing those small and commonly used items a lot easier when packing. The only downside is that the laptop part takes up about 1/3 of the extra space. It's still a place that's put to good use for working with documents or even small electronics like the iPad. Overall a great product and value for money to organize the Pelican 1600 series containers.

Works. The holes matched. Warm? Terrible. I tried using it as a blanket but it didn't help to keep me warm. As far as holding things, they're fine. The top open pocket doesn't squat when you close the lid and everything falls out of the open pocket. You need velcro to keep it closed. Also, the top flaps of the pockets don't hold the contents very well. The rest of the bags are ok. Work right. Zippers are not that smooth. Sticks very much. But otherwise it works.

Bought for my members Mark Sam's Club 24 inch suitcase. The sizes were pretty close so I decided to give it a try. Received and installed today, looks made for the occasion. The holes on the case matched the holes in the organizer perfectly. Looks good but only time will tell. I bought it to keep small pieces organized and away from the main body of my gear. Looks like he's doing a great job. Bought a bit used and saved a few bucks but even at full price it's worth buying.

The organizer is made to a decent level, materials and zippers don't seem flimsy. Adding an organizer to a nearly perfectly constructed Pelican 1610 is almost disappointing. But the organizer allows me to store cables and other items along with my camera gear. I gave the organizer three stars because while it's not made from the best materials, it allows me to use what was previously wasted in the 1610 and the price isn't too different from what you get.

I like it enough but whatever the cost to me it would be nice if it actually got everything it should be. My case is a very early model well before they started molding the screw lugs they supply and for that reason they also include tape except I didn't have any so I had to supply my own. Unfortunately mine was quite expensive and I used quite a lot (I buy genuine branded velcro in rolls) so just overpriced what I see now would be of negligible use in my application.

Although the lid organizer I received does not look like the picture shown here, it is very similar and VERY comfortable. This is exactly what I need for all those little things that would otherwise get lost in my suitcase. I found the installation quick and easy, all I need is a Phillips screwdriver and a few minutes. As for some of the other comments on this. Organizer: Yes, it's not made of fancy materials. However, it was not designed to store large and heavy items. It is ideal for handling

As the owner of several Pelikan products, I was confident that this would not be a problem for me either. This particular organizer with lid has five openwork zippered pockets, two nylon pockets with velcro flap, three thin slim pockets without flap used to store pens, toothbrushes etc. There is a pocket with a window for issuing a driver's license or other identification.
