I used this pump for a dehumidifier that I needed to set up an automatic drain. Works perfectly for that purpose with about an 8 foot drain hose. Time will tell of course in terms of longevity, but so far it looks like a high quality product.

This operates like a mini sump pump. When the water rises, the pump comes on. When the water level goes down to a low level, the pump shuts off. The amount of flow is settable to reasonable levels as specified on the box. In a fountain you just attach the pump to a hose and direct it where you want it or use the attachment to attach smaller tube feeds.I put it in the back yard bird bath. and it works there. The pump has a 2 year guarantee. It was shipped to me o June 20, 2020 and died August 18, 2022. 24+ months so it is out of warranty by less than a month.

Failed after 1 year. Kindly replaced by Pennington. 2nd one failed after 6 months. I imagine they would replace this one too; but this pump is not r. dependable for use in my 6ft tiered fountain.Looking for a different brand now.

Under the description says 2 year guarantee for added peace of mind. My pump lasted less than a year the motor is not locked up it is just not giving the motor power, probably the safety feature when water gets low.

As time permits I am working on a several tier fountain made with cast concrete leaves. This pump will be strong enough to bring the water up through about two feet of pipe from where the water will cascade down from leaf to leaf until it reaches the bottom reservoir where the cycle starts all over again.The small pumps did not have enough "ummpphh" to get the water up, but this adjustable pump is perfect for the job. This was bigger then I expected it to me, and guess that means my water feature needs to be expanded! I haven't built it yet due to surgery but was able to test this out in a giant bucket to see how and if it would work out and it does perfectly. I had to get a few attachments obviously and hoses to hook up the water but this little unit has quite a bit of power. I have had this product for a year now and am very happy with my purchase. Low maintenance. Clear instructions on how to setup and do maintenance. Does not clog easily. Seems to work better than the pumps I have purchased at "big-box" stores.Update March 14, 2021: Pump still going strong. It has run 24/7 since I purchased it in September 2017. I clean it once a year as recommended.Update May 2021: It finally died shortly after a violent thunderstorm. Bought another one.

This water pump quit working just after the 2 year warranty period. It was used only during summer months, and then cleaned and stored inside during the fall, winter and spring. The actual usage time was a total of about 10 months. I've had cheaper pumps last much longer. The auto shut off was a good selling point, but not good when it shut off completely with plenty of water to pump.
