I have been using this filter with the Big Blue housing for many years. I get clean and transparent water at all consumption points in my house. I find water straight from the tap tastes great now, but "others" in the house still prefer bottled water. Note: In the blind tasting test, everyone chose tap water! I use it before my fabric softener and it removes scale and chlorine. Because of this filter, the softener media lasted much longer than expected.

I have used these filters in the past and they have definitely been removing the 'sulphur/rotten egg' stink from my well water for months. For some reason the last one I got was 1/8 inch shorter than the previous one and I had to double up the gasket on one end to keep it from rattling into the case. I signed up for this product a few months ago but unsubscribed today because: 1. the filter I received in August didn't even last a month, although it usually does depending on the Water quality 2-4 months keeps outside 2. i got 2 filters in september, 1 of them didn't let water through at all which caused water to leak onto my floor, i had to open another one i wanted to use later. Great filter. Install under the sink in a thin 10" filter with 1/4" inlet and outlet and connect to cold water with 3/8" faucet connections. When the water was cold, I didn't notice any significant drop in pressure. I've noticed that this carbon block filter virtually eliminates the taste of chlorine in city water. I've had it installed for a few weeks now and it's working great and hopefully it will last many months before it needs to be replaced. Highly recommend this EP-10 filter for a whole

This product was used in a Culligan HF-150A whole house housing but under the sink. Whole-house filter cartridges are cheaper and filter much faster than under-the-sink products. This filter worked great, fit in the housing and made the water taste almost as delicious as our other 4 stage UV filtering rainwater system but at a much lower price. We don't do a separate phase of precipitation, just this one. I will update the review if the filter doesn't work well in the future. Update 1/10/2013 -
