Pleasantly Surprised

I was a bit hesitant to try it because I like the look of natural cotton. But surprise. It's not as "polygonal" as you might think, and it's particularly useful in places like the kitchen or bathroom, as well as outdoors. It was very easy to work with and liked the fact that you can finish the ends with a flick of the lighter. Another nice thing is that it comes in many sizes and colors. So if you need a project with more than one color, you can do it without going through the coloring process.

Pros
  • Art Supplies
Cons
  • Big and Chunky

Very useful and durable

Bought to replace the seat of our garden swing. It was very easy to pull out from the center and put back on the whole piece after knotting. The cable seems endless, even though it is 100 meters long. I ended up using just over two on a three person swing. The only problem I had was that one of the strings wore out when I pulled on it. At this point the weave was too small to let the ball through and I could be more careful. It is well preserved and very durable when used as a seat.

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Makes crocheting large sizes easier

It was great to work with! I am using it to knit a large motif to decorate a chain link fence. I wanted synthetics to stand up to the elements. I use a 16mm hook. I used to use polypropylene rope (Attwood) which was rough, difficult to work with and much shorter. 100 yards long and 6mm wide makes this a great material for this project. I bought a turquoise rich bright color. I wish the price was a little lower - I would love to design mats for this line. It flies through my hands.

Pros
  • Macrame and knots
Cons
  • No productivity
