I read in reviews that these pins were almost useless unless you had a specific board. Not knowing which one I had, I decided to give it a go. Well they don't work. (They leave no chalk marks when writing). I have other crayons from a different brand and they work, but the line they leave is lighter than real chalk. I used to use dry erase boards to track data in the video games I play. But even unscented markers with a slight odor started giving me headaches and dizziness. So I turned to blackboards (they come in different sizes) and chalk pens, which are odorless. They also don't smudge as easily as dry erase boards, so that's a bonus!

Don't work on chalkboards. Or something drawn with chalk. I bought two sets of these and when one package came back it had a chalk pen with no chalk just a piece of wood shaped like a pencil. Too much pain to give them back so I threw them away. A set was given to a friend and she was sad to hear she threw them away too as they didn't work.
