Ease of use

This was my first time using this product and I did a little experiment. For what I needed I used the entire bag. It mixed very easily. I recommend mixing the powder with water and not mixing the powder with water to minimize dust and get the best mix. It's ready in 6 minutes and I could easily get my hand out. Cleaning was easy too. My experiment consisted of filling a mold with polyurethane foam. It did not work. However, this is not the fault of the form. Cheer up if you wanted to try this…

2 moulds, 2 mistakes

I used to use alginate (not that brand) with great success but it became a nightmare. I bought this because it was enough for me to make two molds in case the first one broke, but in the end both molds were useless. The first time I used it, I followed the directions on the box (including using bottled water) and mixed it as thoroughly as I could with a paint mixer during work time. Great for one-off, short-term molds

First there are a lot of negative reviews complaining about the mold not holding up or leaking water, to which I have to say: it's alginate; what did you think you bought This product is water activated and intended for very short term use. Most forms of alginate in the medical field are designed for ten minutes, after which they are discarded.
