Compostable Forks on Forks

They have much smaller tines than regular forks but are compostable. It's definitely nice to have a compostable option instead of all that horrible plastic waste. They seem to be more durable than regular plastic forks.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great for paper and plastic cakes

I use these for my bakery. I mainly sell desserts so these forks work well. Most people use them to break off a piece and bring it to their mouth. They take a bit of getting used to as they feel different in the mouth than smooth plastic. But my customers appreciate being plastic-free. For things you need to pierce with a fork, like meat, they don't work very well.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

maybe suitable for handicrafts not for eating

For a customer we needed compostable forks. When we first bought these "forks", we received 2 boxes with a useful item. At least for salads, they are suitable - they could not take anything serious. The second batch ordered on the same listing (sold by Amazon, not a third party) are mostly tongue explosives. With the same length, they are very thin and have small, blunt teeth. I don't mind paying 0.05 cents for a "green" fork that actually works, but until they find something decent, I have to…
