Performance Tool W32137 Ratcheting Adapter Review

Complete scrap! Don't waste your time! The end didn't come loose the first time I used it, even at 100 ft/lbs. Extremely dissatisfied. Any good review is most likely fake. If this seller is proud of their product, they will give our hard earned money back to all of us who got scammed. DO NOT BUY!

I use this ratchet head on a 1/2" drill bit to start a chainsaw. I needed a ratchet as the flywheel nut comes loose and causes problems when the engine starts without it. It was the thinnest and the price dictated my decision. And it was right. Great tuff tool for my type of use

I have a 6500w Yamaha alternator that I run with this adapter. For some reason it used to start easily from a battery, but not anymore. First I tried it with an 18 volt cordless drill. Not powerful enough so I used an electric drill which started the generator. You have to be careful because the generator will knock the drill out of your hands. So once it works, pull out the drill with the adapter attached! I don't know if a 24 volt drill will work. Much luck.

Most of these ratchet adapters cost around $35. This? $15 (at time of purchase). The quality seems to be on par with other quality adapters (probably made in the same factory to be honest). I have other Performance Tool instruments and find them to be of good quality at a reasonable price. This is no exception. Received today and very disappointed. The tool had several significant dents and dents on the ring used to adjust and reverse the ratchet function. The tool looks like it went through a war. It didn't even take a 3 day postal journey for the broken 1/2 inch rod accessory. I have 30 year old tools that have been used a lot and seem to be in better condition than what I got here. I used this to start an engine that had been sitting for a year. It took a lot of effort and honestly I'm tired of pulling on that rope! I used a battery powered Dewalt drill that I bought here at Revain as part of a kit and it cranked the motor with this adapter with no problem and saved my hand.
