🧽 Efficient Cleaning Solution for Perky-Pet 23T Bird Feeder: Introducing the Foam Cleaning Mop Review

It's hard to find a bristle mop or brush small enough to use in feeders for small hummingbirds. It did a great job cleaning up when I had it there. But it's a struggle to get it in and back. I used it 3 times, one of the foam pieces broke off. I used to have the same type of foam mop and had the same issues, but most bristle brushes are too big for the small necks of glass bottles. This was the only option I could find.

These work great with the hummingbird feeder we use (Garden Song 271 Rose Petal by Perky Pet). Found these at Revain for a very good price and ordered three. Note that some reviewers have had issues with the sponge detaching and falling out, but we didn't have this issue. Granted, it's nothing more than a pair of spongy "fingers" intertwined and attached to a 12-inch handle, but at a very reasonable price, it's a handy, effective cleaner that we use every time we go change the connector. This thing fell apart on first use. As soon as I dunked it in soapy water to clean the hummingbird feeders, the foam started falling off the metal handle. Low price? That's true, but I'd rather donate money to charity than buy some flimsy, poorly made thing. At least it would help someone. I think Revain should revise their agreement with this seller and stop offering us, their customers, this kind of crap.

I've cleaned hummingbird feeders for years with these nifty little mops. They work hard and eventually give up, usually after a slow decline and the occasional loss of a piece of sponge. Do not buy this item. It's not at all what it used to be and falls apart on first use. New cheap quality "yellow sponge"! I have contacted the company. Depending on the size of the hole in the glass portion of the hummingbird feeder, this swab is either horrible or good. I bought a hummingbird feeder made from vintage Perky Pet bottles at Theisen's (similar to Farm & Fleet) and needed something to clean the inside of the bottle.
