Didn't buy it here but hoping to save my scalp.

I've been using Magenta SEMI permanent color for a few years now and the color is just amazing that's why I was SO SHOCKED when I saw this permanent color. But then. Even with the Sensitive Scalp developer they offer, it burned my scalp to hell. Real burns with pus and scabs. I have never needed products for sensitive scalps and have never had any problems with colour. I was hoping the color would be worth it. However, color is nothing compared to semi-permanent. It has turned light pink. It's…

  • great product

Didn't fit me

Didn't fit me AT ALL! And yes I mixed it with the developer as it is a permanent color and the instructions are clear that this needs to be done. The color came and it was really beautiful. However, after a few hours the color faded heavily and noticeably like I had washed my hair 10 times, it literally evaporated from my hair throughout the day. It was so strange! By the end of the day, my hair was an orange-copper color and looked gross. I was incredulous as this had never happened to me…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Harmful, non-permanent

I have been using Ion Color Brilliance semi-permanent magenta for many years (directly from the tube, without developer). I recently tried this permanent version which needs to be mixed with developer before staining, hoping to increase the time to stain. Not only does the color wash out much quicker than a semi-permanent, but it also damages my hair MUCH more. My hair became dry and straw-like, which never happened with a semi-permanent. I don't know what has changed but it's mediocre quality,
