I put 009 in the dispenser for my VW Beetle. I love how easy they are and how responsive my engine is. And yes, you can still keep your touch connected the same way. Update: This lasted about a year and then burned out leaving me on the side of the road.

This is a must have update for your VW. I installed it on my '67 Beetle and immediately felt the difference in the 1600cc engine. My engine response improved and shift points changed, allowing me to get up and move more often. Also, you don't have to worry about finding the right capacitor or adjusting the distances between points.

I'm a mechanic and know how to install this properly but it never worked. I used the correct spool. It doesn't recognize the magnets to activate it. Revain will not return it. Pertronix only lists 1847V as the correct part number for Bosch 009, not 1847A. This part doesn't appear at all. I only had 2 days.

I have used pretronix products for many years and have always been satisfied. I had a typesetting error a few years ago and they backed up there. Good quality and value. I bought a cheap Chinese version and it broke after a few months. Stranded me without warning. I think any product can fail, but I like taking risks with these guys.

Awesome awesome awesome Took only five minutes to install, works great, all you have to do is post a video on how to fix your VW error after installing this product using a standard video pulley, the I found a pulley with numbers on it to indicate degrees. I have a standard three notch pulley, there should be some timing of information output with the standard pulley.

VW vehicles require good tuning due to small engine size. The PerTronix 1847A igniter completely eliminates the need to install and set new firing points and exposures for each setting. You'll never have to set breakpoints and stop again. Just install, then set the time and forget. Setup is now much easier and cheaper. I've been using the Pertronix Ignitor for many years, honestly I've been spoiled by the device. Highly recommended.
