Raccoons have NO PROBLEM getting through these

We thought this was the solution we were looking for to keep other animals away. Works well for your cats with magnetic collars. The problem is that the "plastic tab" that keeps it secure until the magnet comes is so cheap that a raccoon has no problem banging his head on it to gain access. We locked it for the night so the cats could get out but nothing got in and the raccoons that wanted in just rammed it in until they broke the plexiglass double doors in two and then went in. Great cat door with some caveats

Works great! I just kept it open for days, sliding my cat in and out. Then I closed it. When she wanted out, I pushed her out through the closed valve. Then I used the magnet on the collar to push her back so she could see how it worked. Now no problem. However, with one caveat, I had to disassemble the block and fix the spring tension with a magnet in the door latch mechanism because the tension was too great. Also, there is some sort of removable frame around the door itself - on the inside…

PetSafe Staywell Deluxe Magnetic Cat Door with Selective Access and 4-Way Lock

That's very good. It's very easy to install, even for those who, like me, don't have much experience with these things. We decided to use this to give one of our cats a personal litter box. He learned and mastered the door very easily with a treat. He goes in and out like a pro. When we first installed it it was too low and he didn't like it so we fixed it. It's also very easy to uninstall and reinstall elsewhere. Would definitely buy again if we move and can install it in an outdoor home/cat…
