but they don't hold the rope well

I think I'm going against the current with this product. I've tried them off and on for the past 6 months. Yes they hold, but they are bad at holding the rope. They keep slipping off when I try to hold on to the rope, forcing me to expend extra energy to make sure it doesn't slip out of my hand. I was looking for different gloves and I would advise people to be careful with these. They fit well and the leather is of good quality. I think they got the finger sizing right for the smaller gloves…

    Quality gloves

These are one of the nicest gloves let alone climbing gloves I have ever owned. I'm on my 3rd pair now. The first pair lasted almost 3 full years and mind you I used them for climbing and hiking but then I liked them so much I started using them for weightlifting, gardening and winter gloves in general. They were insanely durable, it seems I got them wet/sweaty a lot and they've dried out and shrunk/cracked a bit, but they still lasted for years before they really started cracking. Also, they…

    • Some issues

This is my second Petzl CORDEX glove. The first was a brown CORDEX glove from Petzl. My hand was between small and medium so I bought the small size thinking it would stretch with use. To my surprise, this is not the case. Although the small size didn't fit my hands, I liked the sturdy construction and reinforced padding in critical areas of the glove. The carabiner holes in the gloves are an important advantage for me because they allow me to attach them. to the carabiner so they are…

    Fantastic indoor/outdoor belay gloves

I originally bought these gloves to protect the flap I had in my palm so I could belay my partner without bandaging the whole arm. I continued to use them for belaying all the time and now they've easily become one of my essential climbing gears for both indoor and outdoor climbing. make it difficult to hold the device when securing it with the line. They're thick enough to protect my palms when setting my partner down, but sensitive enough that I can always feel the rope. My partner is heavier

Don't be a fool, pack your instrument! And practice safe driving.

. with something that fits like a glove? In all seriousness, while I cannot comment on the usefulness of these gloves in their climbing market context, I CAN comment on their usefulness from the perspective of a paraplegic who needs to protect his hands from the daily abuses of trekking. through the streets (and hills) of San Francisco in a manual wheelchair. In terms of durability I've been using them extensively for a little over four months and in the past my gloves have started to sag in…

    Pros
    • Robust design
    Cons
    • Some little things

I bought these after my pretty decent $30 gloves fell apart working with cinder blocks and bricks the other day. I needed gloves that were strong enough for truck and outdoor work and still offered decent dexterity. I'm not a climber, not a high-altitude fanatic and I live in Georgia, so no advice for you climbers, ladies and gentlemen. I have to say that for my purposes they couldn't be better for the price. The fit and finish is top-notch, with the exception of the index finger on the left…
