Description of 🌢️ Peugeot Classic Royan Pepper Mill, 5.5-inch, Gray - Elegant and Timeless Kitchen Essential

Made in France. Made of PEFC certified beech wood. Peugeot Mills are partially filled with pepper at the factory in France as part of final assembly and testing. Ready to use. The pepper mechanism is equipped with a helix-shaped double row of teeth for a perfect grind. Patented treatment protects the steel from corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance. Classic grind adjustment: turn the top knob tighter (clockwise) for finer grinds; looser (counter-clockwise) for coarser grinds. Releases maximum flavor and aroma by first cracking each peppercorn before it is ground.

Fine grinder for pepper (but also salt)

Grinds very finely! I like it because my OXO grinder is too good for kids. However, this salt shaker brand does NOT finely grind. I'd stick with OXO for salt and this for pepper (which makes for an unsightly coincidence).

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Doesn't work, don't buy!

They come with fine flakes of salt. It works with that, but I have a fleur de sel with slightly larger crystals (2-4mm) - and they don't even make it into the mechanism. So NOTHING comes out. I loosened the screw to open the grinder up as much as possible - and it's still too tight for anything to go in. I'll be back.

Pros
  • Salt Mills
Cons
  • String shorter than other picks

The grind does not stay where you set it.

This pepper mill can produce a nice pinch of pepper, but it has an odd design flaw. The grind knob is on top but also holds the lid. When I grind clockwise the grip starts to loosen. So I have to constantly tighten the knob to keep the grind even and the lid closed! For the price I expected better quality.

Cons
  • Retail Availability

Best Pepper Mill - Salt Mills

Very well made from real wood and metal. The mill is excellent and produces a lot. Should last a long time. Looks great on the counter. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Made in France. Made from PEFC certified beech. Peugeot mills are partially filled with pepper at the factory in France as part of final assembly and testing. Ready to use.
Cons
  • High price

Cons
  • So far, so good
