Description of Peugeot Nancy Pepper Mill, 7 🌶️ Inch Clear: The Ultimate Spice Grinding Essential

MODERN PEPPER MILL — The Nancy pepper mill enhances the flavors of the meals that you create. Made in the shape of the renowned Paris mill by Peugeot, it marries tradition with a window into modern design and flavor. The transparency showcases and enhances the peppercorns to awaken your senses at a single glance. ADJUSTABLE KNOB — The grind control knob on the head of the mill can be twisted to create your precise balance of flavor. Adjust to obtain the preferred grind size. The tighter the knob, the finer the grind. The two-stage grinding mechanism first effortlessly cracks, and then grinds the peppercorns to the desired coarseness. PRECISION GRIND — Through two centuries of experience, we have expertly engineered each pepper mill and mechanism specifically for the consistency and shape of peppercorns. We make the mill mechanism from steel that is treated to prevent corrosion and rust. ENHANCE FLAVOR — Bring out all the aromatic depth of peppers by manually adjusting the grind to your taste. Very finely ground pepper will bring out its spice, while a coarser grinding will highlight its aromas and flavors. Find your Peugeot moment and enjoy the art of French living with our instruments of taste. READY TO SEASON — Our mills come partially filled for immediate enjoyment with our Tan Hoi black pepper from Vietnam, which has warm woody tones. The pepper is available to buy in Peugeot 6 oz. (175g) cubes. To refill, simply unscrew the top knob, lift off the top and pour in your peppercorns (max size 1⁄4-inch/6mm). ARTISTIC ACRYLIC — The body of the Nancy mill is produced entirely in crystal clear acrylic, showing off its contents without the worry of an empty reservoir surprise. At the table and in the kitchen, these transparent pepper mills pay tribute to the pleasure of the senses, spices, and flavors.

Poor design and functionality

It hurts to use. When tightened, it is difficult to operate and makes an unpleasant squeaking noise. As you weaken it, it seems to weaken even more. There is one upper saddle position where it seems to have minimal functionality and it is a constant struggle to find that spot. I don't recommend it, but I'll use it until I can find something else.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Boring packaging

My 7" Peugeot Nancy pepper grinder has a well working grinder. The ground pepper actually changes in size when the top screw is tightened/loosened. Looks solid and very stylish. The one supplied Hood is both a protection and a different character than just a transparent look. Now we use more freshly ground pepper: in soups, vegetable dishes, popcorn, etc.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • I'm concerned

Cheaply made, inefficient, overpriced.

I bought 2 of these. The metal rod always comes loose after chopping the peppers and you have to tighten it every time. It's kind of annoying. You can see a clear line of plastic running down the side of them. This makes them look less personal. This is advertised as a premium pepper grinder, but it looks and works like a cheap pepper grinder. I strongly advise against buying Peugeot Nancy 7 inch pepper mill acrylic.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Other reviews are correct

The packaging for such a cute windmill was terrible. The grinder arrived disassembled, peppercorns flew in the box. The pieces of the mill were wrapped in a thin bubble wrap. To make matters worse, an accidentally stuck peppercorn got stuck in the screw handle at the top of the grinder. I thought it was hopelessly broken when I realized why I couldn't assemble it (wayward spice). Careful digging with a very small pair of sharp scissors knocked out the peppercorns. The grinder will now work fine

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent engineering

The previous reviewer (et415) may have had a defective block or something other than pepper, but it is physically impossible for the "screw" [actually a nut] that loosens the fineness controls to while you grind loosen." The lid you take and twist to grind peppercorns fits snugly over the flattened portion of the drive spindle, locking it in place. The nut threads onto the threaded portion of the spindle that protrudes through the lid. The harder you tighten the nut, the higher it raises the…

  • Free for educational purposes

Technical Excellence

Perhaps the previous review (et415) had a defective block or ground something other than pepper, but it's physically impossible for the "screw" [ actually it is a nut], which controls the fineness of grinding, is weakened by grinding. Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE KNOB - The grinder knob on the grinder head can be turned to achieve a fine balance of flavor. Adjust to get your preferred grind size. The firmer the handle, the finer the grind. The two-stage grinder effortlessly first splits the peppercorns and then grinds them to the desired size
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
