📡 Philips HD Passive Loop Antenna Review

Cannot be used as it cannot screw onto the TV coax plug as there is no thread in the fitting on the antenna. It is also not pressurized. The one I received cannot be used. Will have to replace. UPDATE: Target had the same antenna so I bought it and it has a thread in the connector as it should. Plugged in and runs like a champ. Hopefully the replacement I get from Revain will be fine.

Three years ago I left my cable company and bought an indoor antenna for my old Sony Bravia. It was GE and I used to buy Fox but no longer. Coincidentally, my girlfriend is moving and gave me her old Insignia. And I couldn't get HD channels because I don't have cable. So I found this antenna at Revain, which Revain recommends, and it's cheap. I might repurchase and replace the indoor TV antenna on my Sony Bravia. I took photos with my Kindle Fire tablet.

I really like this antenna, MUCH better than those flat ones that just don't work. With it, you can just move your ears to find the best channel quality. That works great. BUT, the ears don't rotate as much as they should, they only move from side to side, they should have a full range of motion, and I'm not sure why they designed it that way, I can't think of a reason. I threw a lot of money into worthless antennas, so I'm back to the tried and true: rabbit ears. This antenna works well. The channels I'm not getting clear are probably location related rather than antenna errors. I'm also wondering if the TV tuner plays a role in the quality of channel reception. Radio Shack Left Antenna 2001 for 20 US dollars built into an insulated (wide) RG59 coaxial cable. Thick cables block interference, allowing cheap antennas to pick up more channels. I wish it wasn't built in so I could install current standard four screen RG6 coax so I didn't have to hook up signal boosters. I live right in the metropolis. Yesterday I had 83 channels.
