Excellent RFI Filter

This Philmore phone line filter did the job. We just bought a rather expensive portable phone only to hear an annoying and loud radio station coming down the line. The noise made conversation almost impossible. After plugging this item into the phone jack, there was no more noise. We are very happy with this noise filtering device - whoever designed it is amazing in my opinion!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Good but not great

No Phone Accessory Help

I've had a local radio station on our phone lines for a while. I tried Comcast (to no avail) to see if it was floating land or something else that could be the culprit. I isolated the transients in our internal wiring, which acts as an antenna and receives a signal from the radio station, by connecting a phone to the front of the house. Looking around I thought an HF filter might help. nothing, absolutely nothing, to broadcast the AM/FM signal going into our phone system.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Didn't work on our phone line.

I was really hoping to get rid of the radio interference noise from the radio tower near our house, but it actually INCREASED the radio interference! No joke! I plugged it in as directed and called a friend to see if it was working and she asked me to turn off the radio. So I think it works for some, but it definitely doesn't work in our house. We have a Comcast phone/cable/internet and unfortunately there is nothing they can do about this nasty radio interference and our city council refuses…

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

but it was persistent and annoying. Customers could hear it too

I do customer support from home and when our cable company switched us from analog to digital it all started. AM Talk Radio in the background with every call. The sound is not loud, but persistent and annoying. Customers heard it too. And believe me, the last thing you want when you're trying to make a client happy is to hear overpaid experts rant about this and that and everything else. sooo Quick buy later at Revain and ahhhhhhhh. No more talking on the radio! Hooray! Strangely, when I first…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • weak

My annoying problem solved!

I live near a radio tower. Listen to the radio on your phones for a long time. When I had traditional phone service, it was there. I switched my land line to Comcast. It was back. I lived with it for a long time, then it seemed to get worse. I asked Comcast for help. The representative asked me to turn off the radio because she couldn't hear me well. I explained that I didn't have a radio and that was the problem. Due to Covid the technician will not be away for a while and will be in touch…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some minor things
