Update November 1, 2018 I have 50-150 watts running continuously throughout the day: WiFi router, cable modem, refrigerator, sprinkler timers/valves. It hums, it makes a lot of high-pitched noises, but it's in the garage, so I can only hear it through the next wall. I regularly use up to 2kW, microwave, espresso machine. That works fine.
