They do their job and bring financial prudence to the shaving process!

For me, shaving is a pleasure, a chore and an expense. If you're like me, you've probably seen shaving prices skyrocket over the last 20 years. Cartridges were the cheapest way, but no more. A standard cartridge razor handle will cost you ten dollars a refill - that's five dollars a blade. Four bullets cost Jackson, and that's five dollars a blade. Yes, the quality has improved over the years and you get more shaves from the blade, but the quality hasn't improved that much. My friends with…

They are light but very effective.

See it all. I'm black and my facial hair can easily frizz and get razor irritated, but I've learned how to shave which means I don't have to spend a lot of money on expensive razors. The key is in the attitude. A hot towel, good shaving soap and a brush and shave on the grain, not against it. These shavers work perfectly. After each use I grab a small piece of toilet paper and a dry razor to prevent rusting. Three weeks later I'm still using my first razor. (I shave 4-5 days a week.) These 30…

You get what you pay for

With 30 razors for under $5, it's hard to complain. However, it's missing three main features that I didn't realize until I had them. The first is the number of blades. I've been using it for three or more years. That extra blade or two really makes a difference. Second, the smear strip. Even with a great shaving cream, this strip will give you a much better shave. Third, it's swivel head that allows the shaver to automatically follow the contour of your face. These razors are very light and…

What a review of the Razor Blade! Please!

Dorco Fresh Dual Blade Disposable Razor [Review 0783 - Personal Care - February 2, 2019] Why bother to 'review' something as mundane as a humble disposable razor blade? Well, it has to do with three things: 1) I believe that in this day and age of mega factories, most products are produced at very low cost; 2) As a consumer, I only want to use quality products at minimal cost, and 3) most importantly, I would only leave a review on a product if I was happy or very disappointed with it. I like…

Don't waste your money

You know those scissors that kids use in kindergarten. The ones with which they not only cannot cut themselves, but also, in principle, cannot cut paper? Well, this company should make these scissors and put these blades in this product. These blades are difficult to angle properly to get them to cut, and the two blades are set so close together that they snag with chips making it even more difficult. Like many people, I was looking for a replacement for Gillette blades that are no longer made.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not automatic

Very good for single use

I have been using Dorco razors for several years. I started with their 4 blade razor and then tried the 3 blade razor. I like the 3 blade better than the 4 blade. But I've been living a very humble lifestyle lately and decided to give these a try. They cost about 1/4 the price of 3 blade cartridges and you get twice as much. So they are actually about 1/8 times cheaper. However, I can use triple blade razors a few times, usually for a few weeks to a month, and shave a few times a week. These…
