Copied from another review. Well done! Delivered a used/refurbished item without notice. As with many other reviews, I received a kit that definitely looks used. I didn't buy it refurbished or used. While all parts are purely mechanical and a few scratches don't bother me, I have to say that for the price I was expecting a brand new item in the box. I cannot and will not recommend this product or brand in the future it seems. I cannot trust your company to deliver new boxed items.

I needed to replace a chain on a motorcycle and did a lot of research and pricing. I was skeptical because this kit costs a lot less than similar kits, but figured if I can get it working once it will be worth it. The internal threads in the set screw (where the pilot and top of the rivet screw screw in) are drilled and cut at an angle/not set coaxial with the external threads of the studs. This causes a lot of runout and misalignment, which causes problems both when the chain breaks and when the connector pin is riveted. My existing 525 chain broke after I sanded down the pin head and it ran with no problems, being careful to push the pin and not the link and also using the second largest push pin. With rivets on my new RK chain it was a little tricky to align everything but with a caliper and the instructions it worked fine too. The entire process took less than an hour. I used this tool for the first time the other day and it did the job. Appears to be of good quality. The only complaint I have is that the holes on the plate pressure gauge are too close together and barely fit the 520 pitch chain. You need to make sure the holes line up when you first press the front master link plate . I squeezed the panel a little and then pulled it back to have a look. I used this product to replace a motorcycle chain and the tool head used to expand a chain rivet was weaker than the rivet itself and deformed immediately. I had no trouble using this tool to remove the old chain after grinding down the rivet head, but that's only half the process. At very low torque, the bearing head expanding chain rivets conformed to the shape of the rivet and did not expand at all (see attached drawings). I bought this tool to install a rivet joint on my Ducati Supersport. I ground off the head of the old rivet but using this tool to remove the link was not easy as the tool covers the chain so visibility is poor. I ended up using a plain old link remover tool from my toolbox. Pit Posse was also desperately pushing for the new connection.
