My cockatiel loves this toy

When I put a new toy in his cage he usually ignores it for a day or two before playing with it. However, he picked up this toy as soon as I put it down and started trying to shred it. He's had it for a while and hasn't completely destroyed it. a while. I'm sure it will be in the bin in a few weeks. It's well made, so far I don't see any security risks. I think this is a great toy for birds who love paper and tear it to shreds.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • No weapon

Good but flawed design for clever birds

Overall a good toy and concept. My bird loves it and likes to tear it up. Unfortunately, it took him about 15 minutes to figure out that all he had to do was cut the rope down the middle and part of the ring and everything was solved. Oh oh! While this doesn't give him endless complacency, it does mean that this awesome toy ends up in the "Toys for Later" pile pretty quickly. However, I have ordered it several times because the toy itself is great, it just has a slightly imperfect design (or…

My Senegal Parrot loved it to death! (a toy, not a parrot)

I have a little rescue parrot who is pretty much a scared little bird - any changes to his environment must be very slow. New toys will appear on the table OUTSIDE his cage and he will avoid that area of the table until he gets used to it. The toy is then placed on top of the cage where he has free time to approach it on his own terms. Then the toy goes in the cage, in the corner. Then, after a few weeks, he'll start chewing on it. It usually takes him about a month to get used to a new toy…

  • Good thing

  • Some problems

Quality toy, great value, medium size perfect for medium sized parrots

I love this toy. I have a Blue Headed Pionus Parrot, mostly a medium sized parrot, slightly larger than the average parakeet. Toys can be very hot or cold, hard to tell. I fastened this to the door of his cage, which is open all day; He's free to roam on and around the few rope bars we have around his cage, and he has a wide range of chew toys to choose from. He is a rescue parrot and I have tried all sorts of chew toys over the years. He really likes this one, he immediately started chewing it

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
