Don't buy this. The extra angle at which it screws into the ball valve is an extra spot for the leak to occur. When I did the fit just to see - so one day I sealed it with teflon tape. Guess what. The ball valve didn't even work. So if you don't have a timer, this thing will flood your space. I thought I was getting value. Instead, you suffer water damage. Too bad I didn't install it sooner because now I can't even get it back. I have 7 days past my return date.

It takes a little patience but I drilled a hole in the curved back of the tank to fit the float. I used a lighter to heat my hands on the float to bend them to fit. After about 10 minutes of assembly, it fits perfectly. I ran plastic tubing through the back of the cabinets and through the countertop just behind the coffee maker. I used a tee to connect it to my filtered water and used the built in check valve. Now it will be filled in automatically. I am very happy with my purchase. Everything…

Hey this is a great item. I bought it to supply water to my Vesti. I bought a $4 stainless steel bread pan and installed it on the side, then I just attached a 1/4 inch pipe to our fridge lines and the dogs get fresh water all the time. A very good article. My only regret is that I didn't do this before purchasing the $40 water bowl as they mold under the mechanism and are very difficult to clean. That leaves everything open so I can tell if mold is starting. One month so far and no mold.
