I've looked at a few reviews and they seem to have said more that they are suitable for 9" cymbals than others. I took a risk and lost. 4 inch space between 9 inch panels (which are actually 9 inches) and the edge. The holders are also too small and the edges of the paper plates protrude beyond the holder. The plates only touch the bottom of the holders, but the sides of the holders prevent the plates from sliding down, making them more suitable for supporting products with little or no liquid…

They look tough, durable and great value. The reason for 4 stars is that 9" gaps will NOT fit. There is almost 3/16" around the cymbal so 9" cymbals will not snap. Now that that is said, the panels are really held in place and the only way to get the platters out is to turn the tray upside down when it shakes. to release or turn them off. That's a good thing.
