good price and availability

I use them all the time when hiking and traveling especially hiking. I recommend you buy 3 or 4 and take them all with you. They're very light and you can slip a few in your pocket when they're empty. Sometimes I'll measure a dry drink mix into an empty bladder, then add water if available. Sometimes I'll pour wine and gently squeeze the air out for an easy, bruise-resistant tolerance. I usually drink straight from the bottle, but the handy drinking caps are sold separately. Most other brand…

Doesn't hold up in sports water bottles

I really liked this bottle. I bought this instead of a hard bottle because I don't like squirting while running. This bottle lived up to the bill, was easy to put away when empty, and had no taste other than water. But 5 months later and flowing down along the seam, not a sealed seam but along the crease where the bottom folds. I filled it up, put it in my backpack, put it back on and saw a wet spot where the backpack had been. My back got wet. The bottom of the package got wet. I found a hole…

Extremely light, almost impenetrable and easy to pack - but easily spoiled

I have been a consumer of Platypus products for years and have used them as they vary from thick plastic to lightweight polyethylene plastic evolved in the space age. I have never had any problems with the quality of the bottle. I have never had a leak or damage to the bottle with regular use. They fold into small travel bundles and make great refillable water bottles for everyday use. This new style feels fragile when you get it, but it's as strong and reliable as any Platypus bottle I've ever

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

Finally a lightweight water bottle

I have carpal tunnel and joint issues so I'm trying to look for ergonomic products. I was also wondering which is the best container to drink water from since I drink about 8 gallons of water a day. The answer to that question is glass and I originally looked for a glass water bottle but have come to the conclusion that glass is just plain uncomfortable. Jars with handles are pretty strong, but they're heavy as hell and you look like some obnoxious hipster carrying them around, too. Then there…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Functionality

Fantastic comfort, ease of use, dubious durability.

I've drunk four of these bottles (0.5 or 1 liter volume) - two for me, two for my partner - and I'm very tormented about taking another one. Advantages: 1) Flexible! - It can shrink to take up less space when you drink more, fits in a pocket or backpack, folds up for small bags. the comfort is incredible. 2) Reusable - I hate collecting plastic waste for landfill or even recycling so any reusable water bottle will do. 3) Versatility - Thanks to the flexible design, you can even use large…
