Both are bent when first used, the needle part is too thin, and the tip is beveled so that it will bend when inserted into the lubricator hole and become unusable. And to start, the fitting doesn't fit the end of the grease gun properly, it's just a bit too big so you have to pry it off with pliers.

This grease gun adapter works perfectly with flush type grease fittings. It is also useful for lubricating sliding shoes on automobile leaf springs to prolong their service life. Plews has the foresight to supply two different sizes of bushings to suit different grease guns. There are no complaints about its work, but I only gave it 4 stars because it is difficult to "love" the grease gun adapter.

I don't know, the one I received looked like it had gone through the Battle of the Bulge. Not used only. old old stock. The outer plastic of the package was cracked and yellow. The paper/cardboard backing of the package was all yellow, water-stained and dog-eared. as if this thing had been sitting in the back corner of some warehouse since 1911.
