PLS 5G Laser Pendulum Toolbox Review

This new model is a nice upgrade over previous models that did not have a pendulum lock. It is very accurate and very bright. The laser dot is clearly visible both outdoors and indoors. I have had many previous models and this is by far the best. The included hard case has an inner lining, which is a good feature to prevent damage.

Pacific Laser Systems and Fluke (subsidiary) are respected companies and this laser level shows why. It's durable, bright, self-leveling and easy to use. It claims to be accurate to within 1/8th of an inch at 30 feet and it feels right in use. The range is 100 feet, but you don't get anything like this outdoors without a detector. This laser does not draw a line, but five points. It's self-leveling (you really want that in a laser if you use it a lot) and makes perpendicular, level and square horizontal and vertical dots. Accuracy is 1/8 inch at 30 feet (3mm at 10m). Operating range (theoretical) is 100 feet with a detector (not included). Batteries last approximately 30 hours.
