This two-port USB hub is ideal for doubling a single port with low power consumption. I found it useful for connecting a keyboard and mouse without having to use two ports on my main powered USB hub. It should be noted that this is not an externally powered hub, so do not use any power-hungry devices on it. PROS - Suitable for charging two devices in the car. Works with iOS, Kindle and Samsung Galaxy phones. CONS - Not ideal for data transfer. Plastic has cheap fuel and durability seems questionable. If you're looking for a cheap way to charge two devices in the car, then this will work. But for the price I would keep looking and see a better option.

In many ways this product deserves 5 stars. Cables longer than 12 inches are sufficient for most applications. The common problem with other USB port hub products of unwanted dust getting into unused USB ports is much less of a problem with this USB port hub product because: (1) it only has 2 USB ports instead of 4 or 5 there. , and (2) When one of the 2 USB ports is not in use, the weighted head faces down or out of the way, making it difficult for dust to get in. I wanted to use 1 webcam with 4 PCs. I bought the USB Plugable and at the same time it works great. Chat with your friends on Facebook Messenger and instantly print out what they sent me. I have another USB plug-in for keyboard and mouse.

This product may not meet your mechanical requirements for use with 2 flash drives AT THE SAME TIME. The product appears to meet the electrical standards outlined in its specifications. Wanted to use this to allow my iPhone and iPod to connect to the same input port in my car but it didn't work. In fact, only an iPhone connected to a cable and a cable connected to it will not work. I'm not sure if it's car radio (2019 Rav4) or cable. But it wouldn't work for me.

I connected a keyboard and mouse to share the USB port and didn't notice any drop in responsiveness. UPDATE 2015.12.26 This USB hub still works great, although on extremely *rare* occasions (I can probably count on the fingers of one hand how often) the computer would not respond to any keystrokes at boot, even though the keyboard light was on.
