Bought a house and gas water heaters stopped working. The pilot will not burn. I'm happy to report that this part solved the problem! There were a few differences though (1) the threads on this one were 'standard' and the one to be replaced was 'reversed' - but still fitted. (2) The old piece had insulation on the end that went into the terminal, this one has a brass fitting as shown. Anyway, it did the trick!

Fits and works great. It's great that Revain has them when the people who sell the fireplaces don't even carry around parts to fix them. The thermocouple is a common part to fail, and to think that Lowes and Home Depot, sellers of Pro Com heaters under many names, think it's normal for a $300-$400 LP to end up in one year failing is normal because you can just throw it away and buy a new one! A lot of hardworking people I know don't have 400 to throw away! Thank god I have a person who knows…

Bought this thermocouple in February of this year (2019). It is now the end of November, I have only used the heater in cold weather ie a couple of months last winter/spring and a month this fall. It just failed. It looked like it had melted and the tip hung down like a teardrop. I just ordered a replacement and will see how it goes. I'll try to place it closer to the top of the igniter where it's colder and not at the bottom in the hottest part. There are no instructions as to where it should…
