Nice, heavy, well made flannel sheets. I always wash sheets before first use and would expect quite a bit of lint from them as is common with flannel sheets, especially when new. I was willing to clean the lint trap a few times during the drying cycle. I was surprised they didn't shed a lot of lint at all. These sheets were very soft at first, but after a few weeks they became hard. I strictly followed the washing instructions and washed one sheet at a time. I've had other flannel sheets that have lasted for years without pilling (pinzon). The leaves are also shrinking a bit. Four months later I downgraded the rating to 1 star. I have ordered this bed linen for the second time (and also ordered it in a different colour). I really only use flat sheets as higher quality printed flannel sheets are hard to come by. I use flannel sheets to cover my sheets because I sleep with a very large Great Dane who sheds a lot. At night I take off the covers and cover the bed with a flannel sheet. The hair is on the sheet, not on me or me. In the morning I fold them inwards to keep my hair from getting tangled. I put the cover back on
