Too cute. Bought this for a member of my youth choir and she loved it! Yes, it could be mistaken for a boy's jacket, but it went well with the other jackets I bought for the older choir members. She didn't want to take it off. It's well made, a bit thicker than I needed but would work well for Michigan's fall weather. The hood detaches so you don't have to put it on when you don't need it.

So ours are exactly the size we ordered. If you want them to grow in them, buy them a size or two larger. We bought 3T and 7. One size up to allow for shrinkage and to fit clothing underneath. Common sense tells you to buy a size or two larger so that the coat/jacket matches your outfit. Thicker than Walmart's sweater, has a good lining, the hoodie has a good thickness (and our hoodie can be detachable), we have the gray color. The only downside is that the rope was everywhere.

Good jacket, good quality but runs a bit small; I ordered 14-16 for my son who is about to get a size 14 and it was too small in both width and sleeve length. I traded it in for an 18 and the sleeves were no longer than a 14-16 (about 3 inches shorter for a kid who wears a 14 in shirts). The jacket is heavy, nice and soft. This is a really good jacket for mild winter weather if you can find one, but I would definitely recommend ordering about 2 sizes up.
