Make sure the cotter pin stays in place.

Make sure the cotter pin stays in place, the cotter pin fell out the first day of using the ATV and I lost everything! I will buy again, but this time secure the cotter pin with some sort of fuse.

Pros
  • good
Cons
  • not sure

Great for application

Bought two of these for different ATVs. According to the Polaris manual, there should only be 4 inches between the shaft hole and the pin hole. You won't find anything of this size in a big store. Anything longer will create too much leverage when pulled one way or the other.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Not bad but...

this is made for my quad

OK receiver hitch is a receiver hitch and can be bought almost anywhere. Or this. My quad has a 11/4 inch receiver and that makes little choice and if you can find one it's too long and sticks out too far. It was made specifically for my ATV, the Polaris Sportsman, and is perfect.

Pros
  • only positive
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Must mount the ball where the mounting point is.

The ball should be mounted where the attachment point is at the top of the handlebars, otherwise in my experience the 2" ball would be too close to the stem and the hitch would not seat properly. It feels solid and you know it's a snug fit for your Polaris receiver.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Couldn't find it locally. Thanks to Revain Search.

Cannot be found locally. I found it by searching for Revain. Fits perfectly on my Polaris EFI 570. Very strong and I can hitch my trailer to my ATV and maneuver to hitch to my truck. I can also hook up my service trailer to haul trash around my ranch.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Towbars will not fit this short drawbar

Same issue as some other reviewers. This drawbar is very short and the ball ends too close to the square tube. All 3 of my hitches hit the square tube and prevent the trailer from hitching up. I can flip the drawbar and use it as a "lift" drawbar. This puts the ball pretty high on an already high clutch for Polaris athletes.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • No form required

It's a well made hitch so I'm giving it a 4.

This is a well made hitch so I'm giving it 4 stars. However, this doesn't work for my application. I have a 2011 Polaris 550. With a 2" ball on the mount I can't put the hitch on the ball. No silencer release. I ended up buying a bigger clutch. Yes, the new one is further back from your car, but now I can hook up my trailer. Hope this helps someone.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great hitch for Polaris Sportsman

If you have a Polaris Sportsman and you tow it you need it. The maximum distance from the pin to the center hole on the hitch must be no more than 4 inches and this bar meets that requirement perfectly. Some aftermarket bars may not meet this requirement, which can damage your ATV's clutch. We use it to tow a DR tow behind a mower and it works great.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Frequency
