I ordered a pair of these lamps to polarize the light from my copier, the first pair I received had a different polarization orientation (one polarized when rotated vertically, the other polarized when rotated horizontally) . The first pair was returned for a refund and ordered again. The second pair had the same polarization orientation so they could be used as a matched set.

I'm not sure what happened to my particular sheet of this film but based on the reviews I'm hoping it's not normal to use it in to maintain this condition. Where it's not all scratched it's what I expected and works well. But as you can see in the photo where I'm holding it up to a white background, it's VERY scratched and I haven't even taken it out of its protective case and removed the protective film. I ordered this product to repair an LCD TV that had part of the last polarizing layer torn off (solid white instead of what was expected picture). The gap was about 1/4" x 7.5" so I ordered this sheet in 6" x 8" to secure it in one piece. Unfortunately, the required film orientation for the job meant the short side (6 inches) was what I needed for the long side of the tear (7.5 inches).
