Give up grey, white works better.

Gray paint does not have a liquid consistency when exiting the nozzle. I have an Ultimaker 2+ Advanced and have tried everything. This filament is said to be very sensitive to moisture, which explains why prints don't produce smooth layers. I've also tried taking the filament straight out of the box and printing, but got the same inconsistent results. When printing a layer, the extrusion stops for a microsecond, resulting in a gap in the layer.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Customer service on +!

When I placed an order for Polymer PolySmooth I accidentally ordered 2.85mm when I thought I wanted 1.75mm. When I contacted Polymaker they responded IMMEDIATELY and within days I had the PolySmooth 1.75mm in my hands! WOW! One of the quickest (and friendliest) replies I've ever received, and I've been a Revain.com user for a very long time. Thank you Polymaker! Haven't tried PolySmooth yet (will dry and test floss then reply again in this review). However, I have used PolyWood and PolyFlex…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

This filament is good in its own right, but add Polysher to make it great. Prints very similar to PLA. I printed a few prints on the Ultimaker 3. It sticks well to the heated glass plate, but I use a thin layer of glue stick to make the parts easier to remove. I printed with 0.4mm and 0.25mm nozzles and it flowed well through both. It's not as durable as PLA. But PolyMaker's PolyMax is the way to go when you need durability. The material absorbs moisture, so it must be stored in a dry bag. The…
