Excellent Reception Battery Operated Personal AM FM Portable Radio 📻 with AAA Batteries, Stero Earphone, Large LCD Screen, Digital Alarm Clock Radio Review

This is a nifty little radio with great range. Designed to replace a large radio with a broken antenna. Size doesn't matter in this case. This little radio is capable of picking up a Washington DC news station loud and clear from impoverished West Virginia. Many impressions.

I enjoy my little radio. The sound is surprisingly good, with very little noise. I bought it as a last resort when I lose power. But now I keep it in my bathroom where I can listen to music and see what time it is at the same time. I am very happy with this radio.

I'm really impressed with this little radio. It's very compact, has great reception and runs for a long time on just two AAA batteries. It should be noted that it picks up a lot of interference when other electronic devices are operating nearby; I find this to be more of an issue if you're using wifi, bluetooth, etc.

I know some people say digital radio drains the batteries. I had no problems with that. I wanted digital radio because the analogue radio I have tends to deviate from the intended station I want to listen to. Digital radio locks onto the frequency I want to hear. If there's a trade-off between battery drain and being locked to a specific frequency, I choose a digital model any day of the week. Great value for money.

I found this radio totally unsuitable for my purposes. The buttons are very small and the instructions are difficult to follow. The radio is very small, about the size of a clamshell phone; It couldn't be placed on a table or counter - it's too thin to stand. This is a good product BUT. First, the battery life is not good at all. It has such a large display that it charges the batteries. The backlight turns on every time you press the button, which also drains the battery. Second, the screen scratches easily. It comes with a piece of plastic on the screen. This radio has fairly good FM reception and reasonable AM reception. It still suffers from a decent amount of AM RF interference, but seems to perform better than some of my other pocket analog radios, including the Sony ICF-S10MK2.
