This is what you need when your compressor won't turn off.

My compressor has not switched off. I had to turn it off manually and on which there was pain. I thought it was a pressure switch so I figured it out. I'm glad I did. Directions were ok. They didn't tell you how to remove the motor from the tank (look closely at the front and back and you will see 2 black screws on the bottom of the tank mounts. Remove them and slide the motor). The switch didn't work. Comes with a mounting screw or clip as shown in the picture. I reused my screw andโ€ฆ

Defect outside the packaging.

My Porter cable compressor won't turn on anymore. A little research made the pressure sensor the likely culprit. (That something broke in the compressor is quite annoying since I've only been using it for about 20 hours.) I replaced the pressure sensor and that seemed to fix the problem, except the compressor didn't shut off when it got up. Print. This particular error is usually cited as another related to the fact that the pressure sensor may have failed. So I turned off the compressorโ€ฆ

Will definitely be buying another one

This part fitted my Porter C2002 air compressor perfectly. The problem was dismantling the compressor. You will need a T20 screwdriver with at least a five inch shaft for at least one of the screws. It takes a bit of tugging to detach the body from the tank, but it's doable. If you remember how the motor comes out of the case, it will be easier to assemble. In another review, someone suggested using a screw terminal instead of the crimp that comes with the switch; that's a great idea. One lastโ€ฆ

Perfect replacement part

Great replacement for my 6 gallon Porter Corded Pancake Compressor. Comes with any parts that may break or be needed during the process including a mounting screw. The video from eReplacementParts.com was very helpful, as were these reviews. You need TORX bits and an extension cord for your cordless drill, which makes the job a lot easier. The clamp is fairly easy to crimp with pliers or cement tongs if one is careful, although I can trust my work with a vise. I have a Porter Cable compressorโ€ฆ
