💡 Optimized Powermaster 57759 Auto Alternator Review

The instructions were a bit vague but if you have experience with alternators and electrical systems in vehicles then no problem. It works great and delivers the performance I need.

This generator produces a lot of amps. On my truck I had trouble stopping the belt squeal and setting the underdrive pulley to 8% to reduce slip. Easy installation and electrical connection.

Put this in my 1991 Bronco. I had big speakers and when the bass was playing, the lights dimmed. With the addition of this alternator and Optima Blue Top battery, this problem is gone and my system is able to perform to its full potential. A few reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is because it didn't quite fit. Of the two screws holding it to the bracket, one came out and the other unscrewed slightly. Enough that I couldn't secure it with the second screw. It's also a bit expensive. But it works…

Installed on my 1966 T-Bird with a 7.0 liter 428ci B-8 engine . It required some special wiring to get it working as the car originally had an external voltage regulator. My T-Bird had trouble putting out the right amount of power at low revs. When idling, the dashboard and headlights were dimmed.
