Runs great on hot start

The starter works and fits and I hope it lasts a long time. The only complaint I might have is the lack of a Ford installation jumper or jumper.

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Some small things

Just what I needed for beginners

1980 F150 with 406 Stroked Big Block. Tried to get by with the original starter. Too much compression was too much and after installing the Powermaster 9506 this was no longer a problem. Fits perfectly.

Pros
  • Multiple competitors
Cons
  • Safety

very happy! This is by far the best starter.

Very very satisfied! This is the best starter I could buy that didn't even break! With 2 big Ford blocks suffering from slow starting and overheating this starter solved the problems.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Good product! best replacement parts

Great starter that is easy to install. Lugs and Heat Shrink require basic jumper crafting skills. As directed in the instructions, be sure to measure the distance to determine if a shim is required. It's very compact so you shouldn't have any trouble installing it in tight spaces, especially if you're replacing an old bulky OEM style starter motor on an old 462 engine.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Modern

Best item I've bought on a big block

Bought this starter for my 78460, had problems with hot starting. I bought some original appetizers and they were ready in a few months. I have long pipes and a starter directly under the passenger. I had no problems with the Power Master starter. Now he turns much better. Hot, cold, anytime. Would definitely recommend if you have issues with overheating or high compression engines.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
