For this you need another part

could not reduce the connection. You will need to use tape as the inside and outside diameters match the end of the trash can. Apparently, this requires a different connection, which was not mentioned anywhere in the description. After receiving it I took a closer look at the pictures and noticed a bunch of hoses and clamps. A very tiring experience! The quality is good, but what's good if you can't use it?

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • zero

Pretty good for vacuum cleaner and dust collector accessories

Does what it says on the tin and does it very well. But the plastic is flimsy and brittle, so if you're not careful you can easily break this thing. Another thing to note is that due to the relatively limited airflow compared to a 2.5" hose, your back motor will tighten up a bit when you attach it and you can hear it speed up. I don't think it does any harm, but it can cause your vacuum to overheat if you run it for a particularly long time.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • weak

Will not fit a 2.5 " port as it is literally the same size.

Adapter dimensions are literally dimensions. This means that if you think it will fit a 2.5 inch port, it won't fit. Its diameter is exactly 2.5 inches, not "designed to be 2.5 inches". The same with the other end. I thought it would fit into the table saw's knuckle, but it was exactly the same diameter, so I glued it on for now. Later I just bought an adjustable dust bag and put it on the plug. I'll keep it with me in case I need it later, but it definitely wasn't what I expected.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • So far so good

The nomenclature of 2-1/2 " to 1-1/2 " adapters fits several power products.

I bought a product for adapting vacuum hoses to dust collectors of electrical appliances from different manufacturers. My performance gear lists the inside dimensions of the dust ports, not the outside diameter. This product is named by the outside diameter, not the inside diameter. However, ID sizes are listed in the description of this product. I mistakenly assumed that the naming conventions for hose adapters and electrical equipment are the same. I was wrong. The return is not worth theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • don't remember

How to install an adapter on a nozzle of the same diameter.

I got this to adapt my Dewalt DWE575 circular saw dust attachment to my vacuum cleaner. The problem is that it's a 1 1/4" outlet and my Ridgid shop vacuum uses 2 1/2" fittings. I have a Powertech 2 1/2 to 1 1/4 adapter that fits my vacuum hose perfectly, but the 1 1/4 end is the same size as the outlet on the duster so one doesn't fit the other (rather than the od on one is the same as the id on the other, they have about the same od and id). I bought this blue striped hose from the Lowe'sโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
