📸 PowerVision PowerRay Explorer: 4K UHD Camera Drone for Diving and Boating Review

I received my Power Beam as advertised. Problem with the internal memory card. Called Power Vision. They sent it back to them, fixed it and sent it back more than two weeks later. Powerray is great. It does its job well (in testing). Be careful of weeds and muddy water. Otherwise recommend Power Ray. Excellent customer service from PowerVision.

Drone did not work for us as advertised. We have a property on the beach and would like to record a video with an underwater drone. The waves on our beach are very small. Surfers miss the waves. The drone could not browse to retrieve videos. Please note that when you return the drone, the seller will ask you to pay for the return shipping. Advertised as free returns.

The setup is a bit tricky, but it does everything it's supposed to. The only problem I have is figuring out which way the nose is pointing when I get home. When you buy it, be sure to buy a cable reel. Video is also difficult to see when it's very sunny, and you also have to watch out for small rocks and clam shells clogging the horizontal motor when you're at ground level.

As a professional drone pilot, I felt confident that I could easily figure out how to fly this thing. After using the underwater drone for over 50 hours, I can confirm that the controls on this thing are HARD AF. Getting it floating in clear and calm water is easy enough, but even a small wave will make this thing fail. It is VERY DIFFICULT to get good recordings. Not ready for prime time. You must create an online account and activate PowerRay; which seems unnecessary to me. I was able to set up an account after checking my spam folder. But I could not complete the activation process. Basically it is a three step process after which you will get a success message. This is the first of 5 Power Rays I have purchased. My first was sent back because the retaining screw on the power ray was not sealed. This is an obvious flaw when it's appropriate and I can't believe they don't have easy quality control procedures to turn these caps down or even watch them when they're boxed.
